Stress Management: A lot of relaxation techniques are taught to the patients. This helps in stress management. Meditation is one of the main areas focused in the rehabilitation program. The program gives information on how to have a stress free lifestyle. The patients are supported and encouraged to discuss their problems with the counselor or fellow patients. This helps them to vent their feelings and they fell free. Breathing exercises too help the patients who are undergoing cardiac rehabilitation.

Physical Exercise: A lot of importance is given to physical exercise in the rehabilitation program. The patients have to under go activities like walking, jogging, cycling, some game like badminton, tennis etc. to get into healthy state. Cardio exercises in a gymnasium are also encouraged. This helps in strengthening the muscles. Physical exercise gives the confidence to look at life. The exercise also helps in weight management.

Diet: A lot of attention has to be given to the diet intake of the patients. Alcohol consumption has to be less as well as smoking should be totally stopped for such patients. The diet should have many organic and natural fruits. The fatty foods i.e. junk food is not allowed. The right intake of the calories required is a significant fact that the patients have to understand and work accordingly.
