There are various treatments in the Indiana rehabilitation centers. In some treatments a screening program is done where the patient is tested for various infectious diseases ranging from AIDS, HIV to Hepatitis B. After the diagnosis of such disease, the person is made to go through a counseling program where he is taught how to be a socially responsible person. He is also taught not to transmit his deadly disease to others by various means.

These rehab programs are not only designed for the welfare of the individual but also for the society as well. An effective rehabilitation program involves the use of behavioral and psychological counseling along with medication to help drug addicted person lead a normal life.
