Vocational programs at Louisiana rehabilitation centers are developed based on the vocational capability of the concerned person. Of the various types of vocational programs, the one which suits the person most; is selected. The different types of services that are included in the vocational program are career counseling & vocational guidance, evaluation of vocational potential, school to work transition, job placement and occupational equipment and tools.

To qualify for these training programs, the person must be physically or mentally disabled, he/she must be in a position to benefit from such training programs, and the counselor must write down the particular training program that will suit the person best. These training programs are very useful for such disabled people. It gives them the capability to live life financially independent. A new lease of life is provided to them by such training programs.
