Northeast rehabilitation hospital is a venture by a group of physicians towards providing comprehensive healthcare services for the residents of New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The hospital provides continuum healthcare services for those seeking rehabilitation from physical functional disorders. The hospital was established in 1984.

The idea to start a rehabilitation hospital was brain-child of Dr. Howard Gardner an army Neurosurgeon. The idea struck his mind when he saw the functional benefit of rehabilitation programs amongst army soldiers. He then wanted to provide same services to the local community residents.

Northeast Rehab Network

Ever since its inception, the Northeast rehabilitation Hospital has developed into a network of diverse facilities spread across various locations. All together the network now comprises:

• 2 rehabilitation hospitals
• 20 outpatient centers
• One Homecare division
• One outpatient division for pediatric
• One Sports medicine division
• A system of affiliated schools

The two Northeast rehabilitation Hospitals are in New Hampshire and Nashua.
