Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center

Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center (PWRC) is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization providing rehabilitative care to injured and orphaned wildlife, in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. It's the only facility of its kind in entire 6 counties offering all-species rehabilitation. The Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center provides rehabilitative treatment to wildlife until they are able to thrive by themselves and then releases them back into the wild.

Found an animal

It's mandatory to get permissions from PA Game Commission and US Fish and Wildlife Service to keep wildlife. Handling of wildlife involves a lot of precautions. Human touch or presence often stresses the wildlife and can inflict harm to both of them. For keeping wildlife one need to possess required skills and knowledge. On finding a strayed, sick or injured wildlife, one should always take it to a animal rehabilitation center or a veterinary doctor for immediate attention and first aid.

It's recommended to inform the rehabilitation center or vet before taking the rescued wildlife to ensure required provisions are kept ready in advance.
