Wascana Rehabilitation Center
Wascana rehabilitation center is a specialty hospital for physically disabled persons. It focuses on rehabilitation of physically disabled persons and patients suffering from chronic diseases.
The center was formed by amalgamation of Physical Rehabilitation Centre and the Provincial Geriatric Centre, operated by the Department of Health in the year 1968. The current facility has provision for both inpatients and outpatients programs. In 1994 it became part of Regina Health District.
Wascana rehabilitation center has a total of 307 beds. These beds are divided in following allocations:
- 43 beds for rehabilitation patients
- 205 beds for specialized long term care
- 05 beds for children
- 54 beds exclusively for clients referred by Veteran Affairs Canada
