Coast Rehabilitation Services

Coast Rehabilitation is a privately owned organization. This non profit organization is located in Washington State, United States of America. They serve different counties like Clatsop & Multnomah Counties, Pacific County and Oregon County. The organization has 25 work locations at Southwest Washington and Oregon. The organization serves and works towards rehabilitation of individuals with development disabilities. These disabilities may be physical and / or mental. Till date the organization has rehabilitated more than 5000 cases.

In normal case, if an individual with a mental or physical disability approaches an organization for a job, there are less chances of getting the position as the firm thinks that by admitting the person as an employee, the liability of the organization is increasing. This results in the financial crisis for these people. The organization serves towards solving the same problem.

The mission of the organization is to provide competent, individualized, compassionate and consistent support to the people with physical or mental disabilities for their personal as well as economic independence and eventually help them in gelling with the society. The Vision of the institute says that all individuals with any type of disabilities are welcomed, gracefully valued and loved in the communities in which they live, play and work. The Coast organization offers a variety of support and rehab facilities for Washington population which include vocational, micro enterprises, supported living, inter-dependent living programs and group home facilities. These facilities are made available to the people either free of cost or for affordable prices.

Procedure to get admission in the organization:

The person with the disability has to first get in touch with the organization either by letter or email or telephone or fax. The person's family can also contact the organization on his behalf.
After the person makes the first contact, a volunteer approaches him either in person or on telephone and gives an idea about what are different courses available, their respected fees and the center nearest to him. He also suggests the patient to opt for an appropriate course and the related center.
After this, the patient has to submit the necessary papers to the organization.
Based on these papers, the rehab experts decide whether or not to accept the case.
If the case is accepted, the person is given a professional training which is helpful in pursuing a specific job. This job is decided on the kind of disability, talent and liking of the individual.
When the training is over the person is placed at a perfect job which is suitable for him.
After that, placement services are also provided to these individuals if required.
