Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services

"Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services" is a rehab provider organization based in United States of America. It is located in Texas. The service is commonly known as "CRS".

The main field of rehabilitation for the organization is spinal cord injuries and brain injuries. The comprehensive rehab services provide the rehabilitation in following fields:

• Physical therapy
• Speech therapy
• Orthopedic therapy
• Aquatic rehabilitation
• Sports therapy
• Occupational therapy
• Traumatic brain injury rehabilitation
• Cardiac Rehabilitation

There are eligibility criteria for getting the admission for rehab courses in the organization. The main goal of their rehabilitation procedure is to improve the patient's ability to function at work, home and in the overall society. The criteria are mentioned below:

• The patient has traumatic brain injury OR a traumatic spinal cord injury OR both at the same time.
• The injuries must have considerably affected the patient's ability of performing his daily activities.
• The patient must be either a United States' citizen OR a registered immigrant.
• A person must take the responsibility and sign the papers on the behalf of the patient if he is unconscious.
• He must have completed or is going to complete 16 years by the time the rehabilitation procedure ends
• Being a rehab center in Texas, it is requirement that the person must have lived in Texas for at least six months OR he must have a local guardian who currently lives in Texas.

Procedure followed in the program:

• If all the above mentioned norms are fulfilled by the patient; after submitting the course fee, the patient is a given admission to the rehab course.
• A team of physician checks the patient and performs various tests to find the actual damage to the cells. Based on this, they decide the line of treatment and start the medicines accordingly, which is different for every patient.
• A psychologist then visits and analyzes the patient on the thinking ability scale. He helps build a positive attitude at the patient's end if the patient is filling low on confidence. A strong will to recover, proves instrumental in all the rehab process.
• A specialist rehab dietitian then decides a perfect diet plan which will help the patient in recuperating fast.
• The rehab nurse and helpers are given strict instructions about the medicinal dosages and the diet to be followed for the patient. The rehab nurses have to assure that the patient is taking the medicines at the right time with the preferred food.
• Speech and language therapists work towards improving the speech quality of the patient which gets disturbed due to brain injury or spinal cord injury.
• The rehab exercise experts introduce the patient to the helpful exercise. This helps the patient in improving his ability to move and perform basic tasks. This eventually results in making the patient independent.
• At the end of the rehab process, the patient is again analyzed and if the expected results and improvements are seen in him, he is granted the discharge. Otherwise, a small part of the rehab procedure is repeated.
