The "Hope Rehabilitation Services Inc.", commonly known as HRS is an America based non profit organization which works toward helping the children with developing disabilities in their rehabilitation and other related services.

History of the organization:

Around 50 years back before 1951, there were separate schools for the children with the developing disabilities. This forced in the underdevelopment of those children. In 1951, some courageous parents from the State of California who believed that their child also deserves a better education and a place in the society came together in order to change the way these young people with developmental disabilities were treated. This movement gave birth to the Hope Rehabilitation Services Inc. in the year 1951 in La Mirada, CA. Under this organization, they first established a school for the mentally retarded children named "HOPE School". The school started with 12 children. The school helped them to gain confidence and education which was their primary right. This established a ray of hope that all the personnel with developing disability should be able to participate in the society. It is this; the timeless philosophy which has guided the mission of HOPE Services for more than 5 decades.

Current Status:

Some of the locations are Lafayette St. La Mirada, Santa Clara etc. Today, the organization provides quality rehabilitation services to more than 3000 individuals who have developmental disabilities. The institute treats the patients who have Down's syndrome, mental retardation, autism spectrum disorders and other related conditions.
